How we Guarantee the Purity of our water:

Crystal Select Premium Drinking Water is the product of many processes to insure purity before it is delivered to you in the bottle. The following is a brief description of what sets our water apart from all others.

PreTreatment:

Water is taken from an underground spring and pumped to the surface. This water is then treated through multi-media filtration that removes all solids and other impurities in the water other than salt. The water is then treated with ultraviolet light, which kills bacteria, viruses and other organisms in the water. The water is now ready for the removal of salt.

Reverse Osmosis:
It is important to note that while Crystal Select uses reverse osmosis in the treatment of the water, this is not the final step. While most of our competitors sell water that is treated through reverse osmosis only, this step is only the second in our entire treatment process. The water is run through a dual-pass reverse osmosis unit. This treatment removes 99.9% of the dissolved salt in the water. Our reverse osmosis unit is computer controlled assuring consistent and accurate standards of purity in our processed water. Once again however, Crystal Select does not stop here.

Steam Distillation:

The reverse osmosis product water is then treated through steam distillation. Distillation assures that we deliver a product that is clean and pure as only the steam is collected and condensed back into clean, pure water. Distillation removes any remaining solids, salts and bacteria left in the water. Our water then goes through a "polishing" process giving the water it's clean refreshing taste that is not always found in some distilled water. The water is then delivered to storage tanks where even the air in the tanks is filtered to remove pollutants in the air that might contaminate the water.

Ozonation:

Finally our water is subjected to a process called ozonation. This is the final step in producing clean, pure water. Ozonation serves to kill and remove any bacterial contaminants that may have entered the water after distillation. Ozonation takes place at the time of bottling, so you can be sure that the water is clean and free of bacteria when the water enters the bottle and the cap is sealed.

Producing clean water is not enough if the same measures of cleanliness and purity are not exercised during bottling. Crystal Select water is bottled under exacting conditions of cleanliness and certain other measures are taken to assure that are water comes to you in the cleanest and freshest form possible.

Bottling:

First, our bottles are produced on site at our plant. By doing so, we can assure that our bottles are always clean and have not been introduced to impurities during shipping. Once our bottles enter the filling line, they are rinsed with distilled, ozonated water to wash out any impurities and kill any bacteria inside the bottle. During the filling process, the compressed air required to operate the filler is also subjected to ultraviolet light to kill any bacteria in the air. Once filled, our bottles are immediately capped by automated machinery to insure no contaminates may enter the bottle once filled. All machinery is stainless steel and conforms to all applicable health standards for both the Bahamas and the U.S.
